Sameer Sain
Co-founder & CEO, Everstone
Sameer Sain is the co-founder and CEO of Everstone. He is based in Singapore, he is actively involved in managing the firm and overseeing the business in each location, dividing his time between all the Everstone offices across multiple regions. Before Everstone, Sameer spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a Managing Director in the Investment Management Division and held the position of Head of Institutional Wealth Management and the Special Investments Group (International). Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, he spent eight years managing public market portfolios for Goldman Sachs clients, investing globally across multiple asset classes. Sameer holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.
Atul Kapur
Co-founder & CIO, Everstone
Atul Kapur is co-founder and CIO of Everstone. Based in Singapore, he divides his time between all the Everstone offices to successfully oversee investments in each location. Before Everstone, Atul spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director in the Principal Strategies Group, based out of London. Prior to this, Atul worked in the Principal Investment Area group of Goldman Sachs in both Asia and Europe, deploying the Goldman Sachs Capital Partners family of funds. Atul holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Nick Boyle
Co-founder and ex-Group CEO of Lightsource BP
Nick founded Lightsource Renewable Energy in 2010. Since then, the company’s remarkable growth trajectory has seen it grow from a six-person start up to a global leader in the development and management of solar energy projects with more than 700 employees worldwide. In 2017, Nick spearheaded an innovative partnership with energy giant bp, resulting in a 50:50 joint venture between the companies and a new name: Lightsource bp. Nick’s dynamic leadership and vision continues to drive the company’s remarkable growth and international reach, including a recent $1.8bil investment from international lenders. To date, Lightsource bp has deployed several GW of utility-scale solar projects globally and is executing a significant international project development pipeline as part of its industry-leading ambition to develop 25GW of solar by 2025. With headquarters in London, the company is now active in countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia. Nick previously sat at Board and Senior Director level in several leading retail financial service companies. Throughout his career, Nick has always been recognised for his entrepreneurial skill and success in pairing retail financial products with low-risk, predictable investments.
Paul McCartie
Co-founder and ex-Group Chief Investment Officer of Lightsource BP
Paul co-founded Lightsource Renewable Energy in 2010 and is based in the London office. His responsibilities include debt and equity fundraising for all solar asset developments, project investment structuring and M&A. He is a member of Lightsource bp’s Investment Committee and a Board Director. During his tenure at Lightsource bp, Paul has raised several billion pounds of project financing and in 2021 closed a $1.8bn credit and trade finance facility with a consortium of 10 lenders to power the company's 25GW by 2025 target. Prior to co-founding the company, he spent six years in the power finance team at Investec Bank and was involved in equity and debt transactions in the energy, renewable and industrial sectors. Prior to Investec, Paul was Assistant Director of project finance at Rolls-Royce Power Ventures, an independent power project developer based in London. Paul holds a degree in Engineering from Birmingham University.
Jayant Sinha
President, Eversource
Jayant Sinha guides Eversource’s efforts in mobilizing and investing large-scale capital for sustainable infrastructure and climate action. With his expertise in financial systems, policymaking, and investment strategy, Mr. Sinha builds partnerships with large institutional investors, sovereign funds, and multilateral institutions to help deploy capital into high-quality investments. Additionally, Mr. Sinha is helping develop innovative blended finance instruments which position Eversource as the leading investment platform for sustainable infrastructure. Mr. Sinha is a former Union Minister of State in the Government of India for Finance and Civil Aviation (2014 to 2019). He also chaired the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance (2019 to 2024) which has parliamentary oversight of the Reserve Bank of India, the Securities & Exchange Board of India, and other financial regulators. He has been honored by the President of India for his outstanding parliamentary contributions. Prior to his career in public service, Mr. Sinha had leadership roles at McKinsey & Company, Courage Capital, and Omidyar Network. He has a B.Tech. (with distinction) from IIT Delhi, M.S. in Energy Management & Policy from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA (with distinction) from the Harvard Business School. Mr. Sinha is a Visiting Professor in Practice at the London School of Economics.
Sujoy Bose
CEO, Investment Management, Everstone & CIO, Eversource
Sujoy Bose is the CEO, Investment Management, Everstone & CIO, Eversource, spearheading capital formation, deal sourcing, fund governance, and ESG & impact initiatives. He manages capital raising efforts, strengthening relationships with Limited Partners (LPs), and enhancing the firm’s deal flow across various sectors. Sujoy brings to the firm over 30 years of experience in fund management, infrastructure investment, and strategic leadership. He previously led India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) as Managing Director and CEO, overseeing its growth into a leading investment and infrastructure management entity in just seven years. Prior to NIIF, he spent 23 years at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he held pivotal roles such as Global Co-Head of Infrastructure and Natural Resources and Chief Investment Officer of IFC Asset Management. Sujoy started his career with Citibank in India. He holds an MBA from Rice University, Houston, and a B.Com from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.
Dhanpal Jhaveri
Vice Chairman, Everstone and CEO, Eversource
Dhanpal Jhaveri is Vice Chairman at Everstone Group, a premier investment group focused on India and South East Asia with assets in excess of US$6 billion across private equity, real estate, green infrastructure and venture capital. He is also the CEO for Eversource Capital, which is a joint venture between Lightsource BP and Everstone Capital to make green and sustainable investments in India. Dhanpal’s previous experience includes Director (Corporate Strategy) with Vedanta Resources Plc, Head of Investment Banking at ICICI Securities and Partner for Corporate Finance at KPMG. Dhanpal has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College.
